The Test Executive performs the following functions:

Provides a first class interface between the user and the testing procedures.

Allows operator to run individual, group of tests, or all tests. Individual Test can be run by simply clicking on the test in the menu. Group of tests can be run by pressing the 'Ctrl' key and then by selecting the tests from the test menu.

Complete Data Logging and storage to a database file with utilities (f12 key) to view, sort, and create reports on past data.

User Programmable menu buttons to select test procedure.

Looping for all tests, single tests or group of tests.

Three operating modes, (Operator, Technician, Engineering).

Utilities that come with the Test Executive

By using the Imperial Test Executive Software to develop your test programs, your programs don't require an interface for the user. The TestExecutive is compatible with the following programming languages: CVI, LabVIEW and Visual BASIC..

Just simply call the appropriate TestExecutive routine, wire up the data and let the Test Executive do all the work for you! A Status box is provided to keep the user informed of events happening while the test is running.

Some of the program highlights:

AWG lets you create a database with all of your standard test equipment connections. This means you enter your equipment once and it's used over and over, eliminating mistakes. Create your test equipment database, place it on a server, or share it from your system and it's there for all your developers to use and begin assigning connections to! Multiple systems? No problem. Create and share as many test equipment databases as you need.
Each wirelist created with the application is stored in an ODBC compliant database format. Create a wirelist for a fixture, store it under the directory for that project, and it's always accessible for anyone using the application.
Three different secure modes.
1. User: The default mode. This is ideal for test station deployment. Wirelists are only available for viewing in this mode. You are restricted to a view only mode and may not add or edit wirelists or test equipment.
2. Technician: Wires and connectors may be added, edited or deleted from wirelists. However, test equipment and associated pins cannot be edited or deleted.
3. Engineer: Wires, connectors and test equipment can be added, edited or deleted.
The wirelist generator will automatically track and display what equipment and connectors that have already been assigned, and also display how many connections are on each point.
Summary reports can be generated giving wire counts, wire types, and the number of connections. This utility is great for when you outsource your fixture build and get charged per connection.
Quick sorting, and searching. This system will speed your troubleshooting time dramatically. All of our wirelist data is stored in a simple to navigate data-bound grid. Want to know what's connected where? Now it's only a mouse click away. Printing from every view allows you to print out the entire wirelist, an individual connector, or a test equipment list.
Auto fill entry system! As you enter wirelists, the system will enter in redundant information. This eliminates typing the same thing over and over! Setup a configuration table of wire types, gauges, and colors for your company and our system will automatically enter this each time you create a wirelist.
Many default wire types are already pre-configured. Twisted Pair's, Coax, and Shielded Multi-conductor are already pre-setup for you.
